Malayan Porcupine (Hystrix brachyura), Kaeng Krachan National Park, Thailand

These porcupines would come for scraps behind the kitchen in the lower elevation campground. They would sometimes fight each other, and I had to feel bad for the Masked Palm Civet that tried to share with them! They also wandered around the campground all night, and one gave me a small scare when it walked right up to me while I was trying to call in an owl.
